Black Swan was my favorite movie of this year, and it definitely inspired a few choice purchases for my spring wardrobe. Considering how critical the movie was of the trappings of beauty, particularly items that code "pretty," "girlish," and "younger," I also feel somewhat guilty of this.

Not that I think the film is saying these things are bad, but that they can become dangerously confining.

But grey wraps and layered skirts are also super fantastic, so what am I to do?

I haven't seen the movie but I've recently read an article about a woman named Yumiko Takeshima who is a ballet dancer and designed some of the clothes worn in Black Swan. She has a store in NYC and I think she also sells online. Not sure, though.

Funny you mention the wardrobe... When I first saw this I commented about the yoga-esque wardrobe and that it could've been bought at Lululemon (aside from the final performance pieces obviously). It worked for the movie, but it really isn't anything special.
