I dont see why that has to be a secret. Dollhouse was fucking awesome. Firefly is my favorite, but I love Dollhouse, too. Victor was so amazing, I don't understand why that actor is not on tv for me to watch every week. That episode where he was both a serial killer and a party girl? Amazing!

That show was basically the Sierra and Victor show for me.

As much as I loved all his other shows, Dollhouse was my favorite too. I don't think it gets the recognition it really deserves. Which is so unfortunate. =(

Obviously, I understand why this is a secret - I, like many, didn't care for the show because I didn't care about the cast.

But that actually also has an upside, doesn't it? And maybe that's what you see and embrace, OP. It does have the benefit of not having any characters to actually care about, or at least not for the MOST part, since almost everybody on the show was either a mindless drone or kind of a douche. So, you know, if bad things happened to them, you didn't have to feel like he was murdering your friends.

You have no idea how much I want to make love to your icon. Cordy, Tara. ;__; I love his work, but Joss comes off as a huge douche to me, especially because of how those two in particular got sent off.

Oh come on. I'm going guess the OP does not consider the characters of Dollhouse drones or douches, nor does OP embrace not caring about the cast to such an extent that Dollhouse is now his or her favorite Whedon show. That's antithetical to why people love Whedon shows, as you with that icon should know.

But also, Adelle DeWitt.

personal-taste secrets like this really don't need to be a secret. In my opinion, anyway.

♥ I agree with you in a lot of ways, anon. I thought the acting on Dollhouse was sometimes not up to scratch, but some of the supporting characters were absolutely amazing, and the concept had me hooked from the moment I heard about it. It was a fantastic show.

I loved Dollhouse (still do), but I have to wonder if I would have been less into it if I had been familiar with Whedon's other works.

Then again, his other stuff doesn't have DeWitt.

Dollhouse was awesome, while not my favorite (that's either Firefly or Angel.. or Buffy.. or Dollhouse... or Dr Horrible... oh wait I can't pick Joss favorites...) I think it's definitely under appreciated.

I often felt like people really didn't get the concept of the show, because the criticisms I saw just sounded like they came from a place of not getting it. But hey, to each their own.

Well, that in itself could be a criticism. If that many people didn't get it, maybe the message wasn't clear enough. I did like Dollhouse, but it was kind of confusing at times as to its message.

You know, I agree. I totally loved it.

It's my second favorite of his (because Firefly is my forever show) but yeah, I love it soooooo much. ♥

It took a while to get going, but in the end I thought "Dollhouse" gave us more good hours of TV than "Firefly,"

Dollhouse is actually one of my favourite shows in general. No need for it to be a secret anon, you have good taste. Joss is excellent.

dollhouse was profoundly disturbing - i can handle demons and vampires, no problem, but something about fucking with people's minds just had my husband and i curled up in the fetal position.

that said? fucking LOVED it.
