Happens to the best of us. Btw, there is quite a bit of fic of a slashy nature there, in case the idea of Jeeves and Bertie being more than employer/servant will destroy happy childhood memories.

Me and my dad discovered it through a love of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, about 5 years ago now. I then proceeded to devour all of the novels I could get my hands on. Last year, I tried to talk my English teacher into letting me write an essay about them. Allllmost worked, too.

I can't blame you there, who wouldn't want to live in fancy-hat land? It's all tweed skirts and pretty cars! Oh, and yes, friends. :)

Ah, thanks for the warning. While I'm generally not opposed to slash, I've always imagined them as just Heterosexual Life Partners ;)

Ahh :) I just reread the first book recently, and I'm rereading Right Ho, Jeeves atm. My parents were into them and I got introduced really early on, but I didn't understand many of the jokes until I was older xD but when I was very little, my mom would watch it and I would dance to the opening theme even though I didn't really understand the show.

What a shame! I would have read that essay xD what was the subject?

I know it wasn't all silver cow creamers irl, but that's how my mind pictures it. And honestly, I'm okay with that. I like Duke Ellington and Scott Joplin too, which is like the soundtrack to the show :P and the 20's.
