My concept of Telegony is right. Chldren takes some features of all the previous lovers his mother ever had ESPECIALLY the first lover (except if there was a condom), but the Fsther is other man. Even DNA test will tell you the father is that man. But the kid has some features of that first guy...

For some reason I'm reminded of the weirdness/BS that is homeopathy here anon. (Like water has a 'memory'... uteruses it sound like here under telegony have a memory and affect the... embryo or egg or sperm daddy kins puts in mum? What?)

Our DNA in any case only comesfrom two sources the biological mother and the actual biological father. Just because someones mum might have done the horizontal tango (without protection, hey they had less sex ed then I guess, at least they would with my mum if she ever did) before with someone else long before she met your bio dad doesn't mean you'll suddenly have the same features as that other person.

1 sperm gets to the egg- ONE. There are in fact certain systems in the fertilisation process of humans which mean that other sperm can't get to it and thus only one gets to hit the mother load.

Not even getting into the fact any of that old sperm would only last a day or two.
That would be pretty damn weird. And doesn't make biological sense.

Wait you don't actually believe this, do you? I mean, we're still working out all of the complexities of human genetics, but we've pretty much got the mother and father parts worked out and down pat.

Telegony just sounds like some creepy excuse to shame women into taking few or no lovers before settling down because it would be 'cruel' to the father to make him raise a child with other dude's DNA or some shit.
