I have an antique book about horse breeding that goes into hilarious detail explaining the fallacy of this theory. For some reason, my memory of reading it lives in the same corner of my brain as my memory of the Asimov novel The Gods Themselves, and insert boring real life story here, but someday I'll write the resulting novel that's been half-formed in my head for all these years.
So, thank you for reminding me. :)
