I definitely see where you all are coming from, but I also feel that the best way to determine whether or not someone's lifestyle is healthy for them is to know much more about said person than we do.

If anon's secret was about how Rapunzel had a better life in the tower than outside of it, I'd disagree with her/him. Since it's about the anon, though, I'm going to have to guess there are things about the anon's situation that makes this fantasy more viable for her/him than it would be for you, me, or 99.9% of the people I could think of.

I think anon is denying or sugarcoating the shitty parts of Rapunzel's existence, though. Like: clearly it was a bad life for RAPUNZEL. OP seems to be arguing against this point. Example: evil dickbag Gothel as merely "overbearing."

No, there really isn't a situation where this would be healthy or good. You can objectively say that living with abuse would be bad for anyone. There isn't a human being for whom abuse (REAL abuse, not like BDSM or anything) is good.
