So does that make you ageist?

Actually no I don't define myself as such, but guess again!

There's also a difference between labeling yourself as something and identifying a characteristic. That's the difference I was emphasizing: you can identify that you normally are attracted to x, then if you're attracted to y once, no biggie. If you define yourself as being attracted to x, being attracted to y will really throw you for a loop.

Or do you lack the capacity to understand the differences between characteristics instead of character?

Of course I'm ageist, because everyone is to a certain extent. But ageism is one of the few -isms that isn't totally unfounded, because it's pretty easy to see how less life experience correlates to intelligence and wisdom. Sure, you have your rare 'super mature' high schooler, but by and large someone in their mid 20s is going to know more than a 15-year old, and someone in their mid 30s is going to know more than someone in their mid 20s. Most of the time, you see the whole NO LABELZZZ thing in high school, before people go out into the real world and see that labels actually serve a purpose.

Are you seriously getting a kink in your slink about the fact that sexual identity is very often part of people's identity? A very large part? Just because it isn't for YOU doesn't mean it isn't for everyone else.

Everyone has the capacity to surprise themselves sexually, it's not a FLAW if you're surprised or shocked when you're attracted to something you previously thought you weren't or discover a kink you weren't aware of. Doing away with labels won't make people suddenly be not surprised when they discover new ways to get their rocks off.

PS and I'm willing to bet you use at least one label to describe yourself, that's a total lie that you don't I challenge you to describe yourself to me without using at least one label. Unless you're some sort of Lovecraftian creature from beyond, unable to be described by feeble human words, but my money is on notsomuch, what with how difficult it is to type with unspeakable tentacle appendages.

You're still missing the crucial difference between "I am" and "I like/enjoy/whatever" or even "I am currently" and until you get that down, I'm going to label you as an idiot.

As for labeling people by their sexuality, I'd just rather define myself by my accomplishments than who I'd want to fuck. (From DAR comics before you get another twist in you panties.)
