Heh, I knew I'd get a reply like this. Yes, I'm perfectly aware of that, but unlike other actors literally everyone I meet seems to find him OMGSOATTRACTIVE and I just don't understand it.

I kind of jump at any chance to use that macro. It's a favorite.

I feel the same way about Jesse Eisenburg (and many others that I've seen huge amounts of glee over). Everyone on my flist explodes with joy over him and I don't get it. At all. OH. Speaking of Glee, Darren Criss. I don't get that one, either. They just aren't for me.

Personally, I go for the blond Scandinavian types (them and a few other types), but that's not for everyone. It doesn't have to be for everyone.

I didn't think anything about him or his attractiveness in season one of True Blood but after he got his hair cut and was on the show more? UNF. His character is naughty and fun to watch.

Same here, I didn't really care for Eric until he got his hair cut. Season 2 turned me into a total Eric fangirl. As did the books. Seconding the UNF!

But yeah. I know everyone's tastes differ, but there are some guys who I just don't understand why they are considered hot. Like Zach Quinto and Robert Pattionson.

Tbh I used to think that too. "Cute, but not all that". But then I actually saw him in motion and um, that really changed my perception A LOT. I think he turns out somewhat bland in photographs. This said, to each their own anon! I've lost count of all the guys people in fandom go crazy for and that are totally meh to me (and vice versa), so.

IA... he's obviously good-looking but there was never anything especially interesting about him to me. I only know him from True Blood and there are LOADS of Eric fans out there and I never really got it, until season 3 when they started showing some of his memories and now I just want to see more Viking!Eric. But at least I know I'm interested because of his backstory, and not just there for a pretty face? lmao

But when you actually see him on screen and he's got all that confidence and swagger and his body and the way he talks and his voice...oh lawdy.

I find him absolutely irresistible, but I agree that his looks on their own aren't extraordinary. He's handsome, but not more so than many other actors. He does, however, have incredible charisma and screen presence, and not just as Eric. So I guess that plays into it more than just physical features, for me at least.
