NGL that sounds pretty fucking lame.

I could understand someone watching a TV show and saying "Ha! They're just like us!!"
But I can't imagine anyone saying "You're the ____ to my ____" without receiving eye rolls and mocking.

The situation was a lot more depthy than that.
I'd normally agree with you, but in this case, we kind of fell in love over fandom, and so her saying I was the Andrew to her Jesse meant more than her just saying I love you could have.
Because it implied a whole other level of other parts of our relationship.
