Haven't read this yet, but I was excited for it. But she has a habit in her series to rehash characters and that did worry me.

It's sort of bad in places. Once you read it, you'll see. I didn't mind so much the Derek-esque character, but another Tori...really?

Yeah? Derek to me was just another Clayton from her Werewolf series, so already I wasn't too pleased with him -_- I'll give it a shot, worst comes to worst I'll just return it to the bookstore.

Really? I guess the bossiness was the same, but Clayton is obsessive and not respectful of Elena's choices/boundaries at all. Derek would never turn Chloe without her consent/force himself on her/etcetc

I personally dislike the werewolf books though, so that might also be why I don't see Derek as Clay xD

But he also refused to let Chloe think for herself either, and practically made all her decisions for her, like Clayton did for Elena (not necessarily the changing thing, but the essence is the same)

Those ones got me into it, but I didn't read the original book, only the second and third, before finally reading the first. Reading what happened and how he stalked her and abused her really solidified my hatred of those novels particularly.

Most of her novels are pseudo strong women with the men still 'avenging' in the end but it's unfortunately a guilty reading pleasure of mine. I prefer the stories about Jamie and Paige.

Likewise on the Paige/Jaime books. And I guess I can't see Derek's overprotectiveness to be as bad as Clay's, but I guess it could also be that their relationship isn't sexual, so Clay's abusiveness comes off as worse to me.

It's too bad the series is ending in two books though, they're my guilty pleasure, too xD

Yeah I could see Clay's coming off as worse due to that, definitely. I just say too many similarities to really enjoy Derek's character.

I didn't know the series was ending in two books though! Do you know if she's got other adult novels planned? I suppose I'll have to peek at her website and check. XD Glad to know I'm not the only one who's all 'Yeah, issues are there, I see 'em, I don't care"

Ha, yep! The last two books are part of a Savannah trilogy, the next one coming out in July (Spell Bound) And yeah she is, it's called "Omens and Shadows" and it's going to be a trilogy. Not really sure what it'll be about, since she hasn't publically mentioned it yet!

Big time, especially the werewolf books (A littleeeee with the Hope books, but yeah!) I always enjoy reading them, so can't really help it xD
