(Old!Who is high up on my to-watch list! No Six, though. My friends loaded me up with... mostly Three actually, in an effort to convince me that Doctor/Master has always been canon.)

Three's pretty good. Old!Who takes a lot of patience to watch and requires some suspension of disbelief. You'll love the characters, but the pacing to the stories can be fairly painful. Or at least that's been my viewing experience so far.

Ha yeah, I grew up thinking of Who as "that thing my dad watched when he was younger and likes to go on about how wonderfully awful the special effects were." I am prepared for it to be a rather different experience.
