I've read those books, but I thought of Lord of the Rings instead of Enchanted Forest Chronicles. (...Honestly, frying pans aren't that uncommon of a weapon, so that seems a weird reason to dislike a movie.)

Read the book too... didn't really make the correlation, but you got me unbelievably excited when I saw the cover of the book.

I didn't like it because I kept worrying Flynn was going to DIE with his head bashed in. It takes me right out of the scene because it's more cartooney/loony tunes than anything up till that point.

But yeah, it really is a common weapon both in fiction and in impromptu kitchen death matches.

What distracted me is how they tend to weild it. Have you ever taken a cast iron skillet that size and tried waving it around one-handed? It's hell on the wrist. When she held it two-handed I was fine, but all the other stuff?

But since it was intended for comedic purposes I let it slide. For now.
