[ Panfandom Fanwork Meme 02 ]

Someone requested another crossover meme, but why stick with just crossovers? Here's your chance to request things from any fandom you like - especially if the fandom is small, obscure, or has no request type of meme available. Hopefully someone else will come along and fill it out, or someone else's request will spark something off in your head that you just have to write -

So here you go!

"Real" Girl in A Fictional World

I have a weakness for “real” girls/women falling into fictional universes. Like a 2011 college student ending up in Victorian England and running into Sherlock Holmes, or the show world of Supernatural, or LOTR, etc... I'm looking for well-written (ah, the hard part) fics like this!

Not the best-written thing ever, but not terrible, Peal of Thunder (X-Files) fits this genre.

The best example of that genre I've ever read is Don't Panic (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1690622/1/bDon_bt_bPanic_b). Modern woman ends up in Arda, unable to communicate and finds herself out of her depth pretty quickly.

Have you ever watched Lost in Austen? (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003BOQVF0/ref=atv_dp_season?ie=UTF8&redirect=true) It's a short British TV series, but I mean, technically it is a fanwork. It's cheesy, but for the most part just charming and awesome. (Jane Austen fan swaps places with Elizabeth Bennet.)

I kind of really love Lost in Austen and was totally about to mention this when I saw you already did. :)
