Summary: Both games can be summarized as follows: writer goes to crazy town, fights monsters, with goal of regaining lost female family member, may or may not succeed depending on interpretation. HOW HAS THIS NOT HAPPENED YET??? Doesn't have to be serious, one of my favorite mental variations is just Alan and Harry at some kind of literary convention when SUDDENLY BLACKOUT AND TORNADO WARNING, hilarity ensues.

Seriously, I will love you forever if you come up with something even slightly similar to this, I've looked everywhere. Good Alan Wake fic taken gladly as a consolation prize.

Summary: Find me as many "lol Character X is somehow transported to 2012" as you can, but with intact language barriers. Desmond can be the translator, as long as there's sufficient handwavy science regarding the animus or something. Bonus points for modern fic where Desmond immediately assumes he's hallucinating and one of the other Scooby Crew is the first one to react.
