No, you're thinking of Ten's pacifism; the Doctor has long been willing to let other people get their hands dirty with guns: Brig, working with UNIT, Jack Harkness, Ian way back when (though his was a sword in the Aztecs story), etc. Fanon likes to consider him this peaceful saint, hence everyone getting outraged when he commits genocide or advocates for it, but um... yeah no, he's got a long list of people and species dead either by him or by his comrades.

Ten's not a pacifist lol. He's definitely not. He's just doesn't like guns or fighting pointless wars.

Oh for fuck's sake if I could edit my original post, I would. What I mean by that is that most people consider Ten to be the most pacifistic out of all the Doctor's regenerations. At least all the people who mostly follow NewWho, and all the people who scream foul when Eleven is more violent than his predecessor. They're the ones who believe that the Doctor is a saint who would never harm a fly.

LOL those people need to clean their glasses. Ten commits/attempts to commit genocide against several races (the Racknoss, the Krilitane, the Cybermen, the Daleks, the Sontarans (an attempt)).

Didn't (in the most recent episode) 11 get upset at the pirate captain for swinging his gun around? And was trying to advocate peace between people and the Silurians? Whatever, I'm a new Who fan, so I clearly don't know what I'm talking about.

He didn't really get upset at the gun being there. More like "Get your gun out of my face right now please." I'd say he's OK with guns existing, just not with actually using them himself or, like any person, having them used on him.

If a gun was in your face, you'd be upset too. Eleven has been seen as being more okay with violence than Ten, which is the main point. All of the Doctor's forms have been shown to have a "talk first, violence later" attitude, what most people get upset about is that Eleven seems to leave a very short window for talking before going right to the violence, in comparison to other regenerations. AND, quite a lot of the people saying these things are new Who fans who really only have Tennant's portrayal to go off of, since Eccleston only had one season. If you don't consider yourself to be a part of the people crying about that, then don't get all butthurt about generalized statements.
