I'm going to assume that you thought your response was so good it needed to be posted twice, and respond with a way to miss the point. I never claimed that other races aren't under-represented, merely that it's a bit of a double standard in that whiteys can be resented purely for being white and that's okay.

i'm not white. i know it's not really fair to resent white characters, but whitewashing/things like this (http://dcwomenkickingass.tumblr.com/post/5359835068/muchmore) are so commin in comics that i can't really help it :/ i'm just so tired of poc characters being pushed aside or dropped entirely and it's frustrating watching white characters get resurrected/put in the spotlight while poc characters aren't.

I'm not disagreeing that whitewashing sucks and needs to be done away with.

I don't even care when white characters are played by non-whites, like Idris Elba's performance as Heimdall in the Thor movie most recently. The guy did a fucking awesome job. I am just of the opinion that inequality works both ways and that standards should be universal. Two wrongs don't make a right and the perception that there's no such thing as racism against white people just seems so off.
