Even so, RM has flat-out said that he bases Kurt's stories on his own life, except he writes them "how [he] wishes they had gone," and has also said that he especially cares for Kurt and the Kurt/Blaine pairing within the show (i.e., more than other characters/storylines). I guess that's his right as the writer/creator/showrunner, but I find it a little cringey, especially because I feel like Kurt is deified and made out to be a flawless martyr rather than a well-rounded, imperfect character a lot of the time. I LOVE Chris to death and think he's way talented, but he deserves better writing.
