Hell, probably. To be honest, I can keep track of Glee's story lines about as well as Glee itself (which is to say not very...)

I mean, I'm still kind of confused about the whole "Santana is a lesbian thing". A couple of episodes before, Santana said she liked being with just about everyone, whether they be boy or girl or whatever (she mentioned being sexually attracted to shrubbery at one point for Christ's sake). So why does she have to be a lesbian?

yeah, that confuses me too. i mean, she went from sleeping with every boy in the school to suddenly being a lesbian, and it seemed pretty hastily retconned. i mean, granted they had an explanation for it, but still.

...well, it's glee. hasty retconning is kind of what they do.

MTE (and for the comment above the one I'm replying to as well). I think it should have been a really interesting storyline when Santana discovered she was a lesbian, but they rushed it too much. One can be attracted to men but later realize they only are interested in women, but with Santana it was too jarring when she suddenly went from realizing she was confused and then definitely a lesbian the next episode.

I think to me it made sense because she never seemed to really love the men she was with...she just seemed to use them for status or other profit. But I agree the transition was too sudden...

She did seem to be sexually attracted to them though. I think it would take longer for someone like Santana to accept being a lesbian, not a couple of episodes.

Hmm, yes, I think the way she ended up being portrayed is: likes sex with either gender/but falls in love with girls.While I suppose would make her bi in some people's eyes, to her the emotional aspect might be more important to her identity. In any case, I think it's a Glee thing, where they sort of touch on a lot of interesting issues, but never really follow through on them completely.

I have no issue with her being lesbian, and not being attracted to men anymore, or her being a lesbian in the way you described, I just wish it had been developed more.

Too true! It always ends up going back to the overdone Rachel/Finn/Quinn love triangle, when so much more interesting things can be done with all of the characters.

Oh gawd I hate that. I'm at the point of just rolling my eyes on that one. It's like the most uninteresting love-triangle ever. I'd pretty much be interested in ANY of the other character's love lives more. (and seriously, I do not and will never get why everyone's crushing on Finn)

yes, THIS. i mean, like i said, they had an explanation and it made sense. but they did it so quickly that it just seemed like "oh, how can we justify her sudden lesbianism ... hmm, well, this could be read as THIS," and it seemed more like a retcon than an actual logical storyline, which it really could have been.

This. It did seem really sudden. I mean, I guess it's possible that she suddenly had a huge...lesbian epiphany in such a short span of time that convinced her that she was only attracted to women, but I would have liked to see that on screen

I think she's still attracted to men, though. After all she started calling herself a lesbian after Holly told her; "It's not about who you're attracted to; it's about who you fall in love with". She said this in reply to Santana findin both men and women attractive so I'm thinking she's idenitfying using that definition...
