Joining you on this one. I had a coworker who wouldn't get the clue about me not being interested, and when I told him that I was asexual (and then explained what that meant for him), he told me that that wasn't human.

And didn't catch a clue. :/

It really sucks, doesn't it? I've decided I'm not going to mention my orientation anymore, even if people ask. It just makes me really frustrated.

One of the guys in my dorm at college was like that. He asked me what my "type" was, and when I told him I didn't have one, he was like, "Oh, so you like girls, then?" And I said, "I don't have a type. At all. Of any variety." His next question was, "So you're into bestiality?"

Suffice it to say that I never felt compelled to converse with him again. >__

Eerie; I remember having the exact same conversation, only in German. What made it a bit better was that the person I was talking to made it clear they were joking about the bestiality ^^'

that's sux, friend ;_: people can be so ignorant and rude! it's so much easier not to tell anybody - society here, where I live, is very !highly! intolerant. but if nobody says nothing about asexuality it almost like asexuality doesn't exist... so it's important to say, important to coming out...
