I was fine with it until an acquaintance of mine revealed that he was in the fandom and then proceeded to talk for the better part of a half hour about his pony OCs and a great fanfic he had read about one of the characters getting disemboweled and tortured. Basically, the pony version of "Agony in Pink".

Now I can't even look at anything having to do with Friendship is Magic without being reminded of min and that very very uncomfortable conversation and I just...cringe...

I know that not all fans are like this but I can't seem to mentally separate the two things.
