Well you're not as big a snob as I am because I think the whole voice acting for a webcomic thing is terrible. I guess that radio drama sounds cool enough, but otherwise it's just people reading the comics, and I can do that on my own, thanks.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. The Romspec thread kind of seems littered with aggressive, back-patting elitism, weird sexist romance fantasies and people who can't separate their fanon from canon. It kind of weirds me out how seriously they take shipping and I find their "well we just ~*~ ANALYZE THE CANON~*~ more accurately than most people it's not shipping it's predicting tee hee." disingenuous. Guys, it's not science, it's shipping thirteen year olds.

I... I'm kind of glad actually that no one in that thread seems to think my OTP is relevant to the canon (beyond apparently being a catalyst for Karkat to ~*~manfully rescue Terezi and win back her love~*~). Nothing turns me off a pairing faster than reading a Romspec thread analysis of it.

My point is, they both seem to think shipping is one of the most important elements in Homestuck while also having absolutely no fun doing it.

I have a friend who had a terrible childhood too and was only able to get through a lot of it because of a book series where the character was even worse off than her (but still kept going).
