Seriously, OP? You don't know why? The movie was fun-happy-dancing-weeeeeee for about an hour, then all of a sudden the tone changed, things got SRS BSN and characters started getting killed off.

It starts being all sincere and 'hey guys, let's deal with the real issues here, pansexual lalala we're all hippies not fierce drag bitches who actually care if their make-up's running lalala all ships blurring together and no internal bickering lalala btw your heroes are murderous aliens'. The only good bit after that is the ridiculous tinfoil Space Police outfits.

Me too, every time. Sometimes I turn it off there even though I love some of the later songs.

I first saw this on VHS with an extremely religious gal who was clearly doing anthropological research into the Dark, Sleazy, Horrible Side of Mankind. The ending made her cry. I would have felt victorious but I was too busy sniffling, too.

Probably cause right after that is where it suddenly stops being all fun sexy cracked-out times and gets sad.

Probably because it's weird and psycho and oddly dark & depressing. I don't understand basically anything after "Sweet Tranvestite," really.

Yeah, I found the rest to be creepy and depressing. Which is sad, because I love everything before.

That's actually the best part of the film for me, because then there are no more props that need to be on stage during the shadowcast and I can sit down.

It's Frank N Furter's death that really gets me. Tim Curry's face is so expressive.

It's sad to me because that means the show is ending and I have to go home soon :(

Also fuck the Shock Treatment haters, that movie, despite being totally bananas, has way better songs than RHPS, imo.
