Excuse me, then. By "natural" I'm sure that the OP meant "a female who happens to have ovaries and a uterus." :|

What if a cis female person has had her ovaries and uterus removed? Is she still a natural woman? :|

and, yeah... it gets ambiguous when you're especially referring to a medically transitioned trans person, because then they're technically not biologically what their birth sex was. Hormones do things. Biological things.

DNA doesn't change.

[identity profile] anivad.livejournal.com 2011-05-28 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
...wait, so we're determining naturalness by DNA, now? :\

So a person with XY chromosomes + Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome and a uterus, vagina, breasts etc is a natural man?

(Anonymous) 2011-05-28 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
Statistically, that person is anomalous. There simply has to be a way to talk about the body one was born into. If we can't do it with sex characteristics and we can't do it with DNA, what is the way to do it?

[identity profile] anivad.livejournal.com 2011-05-28 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Cis/trans works fine; regarding bodies specifically, the current term used is AFAB/AMAB (assigned female (or male) at birth), since it basically covers everyone, including trans and intersex people.

OH JESUS CHRIST.

By "a female who happens to have ovaries and a uterus," I meant "a female who was born with ovaries and a uterus"!!! Do you enjoy taking offense to everything? Just because people choose the pithier rout does not make them bigoted!
