At first I read that as "teach me how to love"

I thought it'd be all about his recent ~character development and or you're just looking for tips on being a sex god so I was like "oh ok cool"

Ohhh, you're talking about BARNEY! I thought you meant NPH, which confused me, because he seems like a really awesome role model. Now this makes more sense.

But hey, you could just take him as a role model, but with a grain of salt. You know, take after his good traits, like having fun and not taking things too seriously. Just don't be a whore and a drunkard.

I think Barney's best advice in how to live is just to have that self confidence to do what YOU want to do! Whether that be licking a bell, or striving to be the best at laser tag, wearing suits every single day despite what others think... :) That's where his awesomeness comes from, he doesn't let other people, or social norms, or expectations, or anything, get in the way of doing what he feels like doing.. and he does it!

In that sense, he's a great role model.

I have never seen HIMYM but from what everyone else is saying, this sounds like the advice I give people I know ALL THE TIME. So go for it OP, because I'm pretty sure I'm giving great advice. If he's wearing suits every day, that's good. You will never feel closer to Godhood as you will when you wear a blazer casually for the first time. You will ascend and you will soon chase the feeling of power dressing. It's okay. It's normal. Go now, OP, go and be free to apparently be a badass. I approve.

He says 'sick' instead of 'sad', but both work. The sick one is a little funnier to me because I imagine him sneezing and giving himself the thumbs up in his spoon reflection before giving himself cold medicine.
