Am I watching the same anime as everybody else? I'm not entirely sure what kind of "fanboy" this refers to (don't know anything about Clannad), but I haven't noticed any pandering in AnoHana. I have noticed Menma's tendency to cry, but considering she's still a little kid, mentally...

Maybe I'm just dense and/or desensitized to fanservice. That's also possible.
