(Anonymous) 2011-06-02 10:36 am (UTC)(link)Also, the fanservice in this show isn't even excessive and often times is a lead in for other, more serious conversations/issues. The scenes between Menma and Jintan? They are glimpses into Jintan's heart. Yes, he's grown up and has hormones, like a teenaged boy SHOULD, and he still hasn't quite gotten over his childhood crush yet. Menma is still as innocent and goofy as she was as a child (shower scene) and hasn't grown out of that mentality yet. These are very key characteristics of the characters and I honestly feel like they completely went over your head.
For the record, I love both shows.
