Vriska and Terezi had a mini-bitch fight and tried to run Xanatos Gambits against each other, Vriska got the outcome she wanted and Terezi was going to "let her go so" that she could stab her in the back. Vriska (probably) was about to die a just death for:

1. Her crimes.
2. So her Pixie dust trail wouldn't lead Bec Noir to where the trolls were hiding.

Terezi decided to be OOC at the last minute and not stab Vriska even though she was going to get them all killed (because Hussie like to provoke emotional responses at the cost of proper characterization (And he also has a huge boner for Vriska)). Vriska flew off to fight Noir, he was like FUCK THAT and, SURPRISE SURPRISE, followed Vriska's pixie dust trail and killed the trolls (Minus Aradia + Vriska + the ones who were already dead) and then brought back Karkat and Terezi's bodies as trophies.

Still holding out on the possibility of some of them being alive, since Kanaya coming back to life, vanishing for no reason, and then dying off-screen seems amazingly stupid to me.

But then again...
