Seriously, it went to a whole new level in the Kiseki no Tanjoubi pic drama. Jun Fukuyama doesn't even seem to have an accent when he speaks English (so of course he's the one in the series who speaks almost no English) but the mangling of the emphasis was supposedly a "correction" of the proper emphasis!
