I really don't understand what the argument is. Do you want to fight female oppression in the game? Deal with gender roles? or just have female characters say different things?

Not to mention your support of P3P doesn't really make sense in context. You do realize that in the original P3 there was no girl option so your preference is much more of an "afterthought" that the female bioware characters are. Of course F!MC had more dialogue options :| they had time and resources to script it because it was basically the same game rereleased.

Regardless, they do have different dialogue options several times in the games you mentioned. A female Shepard, for example, is told that the "strippers' quarters are upstairs" during the Archangel recruitment mission. Gender issues isn't what the games are trying to be about and I don't blame them for making female and male MCs basically the same thing. I prefer it, actually. I like to live in my pretend fantasy world where I don't have to deal with misogyny and gender roles constantly. I like being a female Commander and being treated with the same respect as a d00d, as I should be

Mostly just have characters say different things. Especially since all three of these games have emphasis on your relationships with the supporting cast - and even in a la la land where men and women are completely equal, a friendship between two women is going to be different between a friendship between a man and a woman.

Did you... read my secret? I admitted FMC was an afterthought. I admitted the reason they changed her options was to make a new game. But I think the result was superior.

The different dialogue options are really, really minimal. You can totally go without noticing they're there.

I could never play as the FMC in Persona. She was too happy, upbeat and impossibly sweet, and she rarely expressed anger. So no, I can't say that the result was superior, at least not for me.

What's wrong with that? A character that is happy/rarely expresses anger etc. Genuinely curious.

There is nothing wrong with a character like that, by itself. But I dislike the assumption that female characters or women are intrinsically like that.
