I don't really have an opinion on a thing such as this, but I find it interesting that a man in the U.S. got arrested because he had child porn of The Simpsons (by this I mean the child characters Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, etc).

I think it's a little much to arrest someone when it's just a bunch of drawings. From what I remember the man was considered normal by society and all, he just happened to be interested in naked Simpsons children is all.

I've also heard stories of people being arrested for have shota/loli/etc manga here in the U.S. But I can't remember much from the stories on this part.

Citation please? I really want to hear about this case, since I find it a bit hard to believe that someone in the United States could get arrested for such a thing. AFAIK there are laws against child pornography, but they don't apply to drawings or cartoons of children (at least not yet)

Different anon. There was the case of Christopher Handley in the US. He had couple of volumes of lolicon as part of a huge collection of manga and had nothing to do with real child pornography, and he was charged. Him being charged had something to do with the manga crossing state lines, which I didn't really understand. http://cbldf.org/about-us/case-files/handley/ .
