(Anonymous) 2011-06-05 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)Just because someone is beautiful in your eyes doesn’t mean that’s what they see in the mirror, in fact most of the good looking women now a days, unfortunately are emotionally damaged in some way or another to even think of themselves as pretty or beautiful, especially now that everyone is becoming more and more obsessed with how they look due to celebrities and the need to look as beautiful as they do.
I’m told that I’m beautiful all the time but sometimes I don’t see it and it’s not because I’m fat or anything like that, it’s because for a long time in my life I was put down and told that I was ugly and wasn’t worth anything by people really close to me and only now am I actually beginning to understand how much that affected me and still does.
Another thing is that the more people are shown what is considered to be beautiful, the more they create an ideology of beauty when really it’s not beauty at all but what one persons opinion of beauty is. One thing that I find wrong with the world is the need to force opinions on other people, it’s the same thing with many issues like sexuality, religion and many more, you can’t even watch an advert on TV or wherever without being forced into an opinion of the product that isn’t your own.
Also many people suffer from low self esteem and they like everyone in the world they come in all shape, sizes, race and gender. My point is just because the woman in the video is beautiful doesn’t mean she doesn’t suffer from low self esteem.
