If I could fucking figure out wtf Camp NaNoWriMo is, I'd be there. Flailing. But, yeah, I don't get it and I suspect that the answer is insanely simple and I'll just go '...oh' but... yeah.

Another person echoing the "what exactly is this" thing. Is it a month in Summer dedicated to writing like November? Is it a shorter time with a smaller writing goal? What?

Because I totally want to do this, especially if it starts after the beginning of July. (aka when I'll have more time to write)

I gather it will be a site like nanowrimo.org where you could do nano during any other month of the year. With word counting and validation and stuff. They say they'll be rolling it out by July.

Camp NaNoWriMo is the shortly-to-be-launched year-round NaNoWriMo. From what I've gathered on the forums and OLL blog, you will be able to define your own thirty days and just go whenever you're ready. But without enough people doing it with you, it won't be very...NaNo-ish.
