OP, I know I'm a little late to the party here, but speaking as a person who has had experience with this kind of person -- GET OUT NOW. This is NOT healthy (for them or for you) and you CANNOT fix your friend. You can tell him/her to get help, but if your friend refuses, then leave. This person is not your responsibility, and you have to take care of yourself. No one is worth a damaging relationship. <3
