Reacting negatively to objectification of fictional women = slutshaming, amirite.

Wow, strawman much?

Why is it that strong women are never allowed to be sexy? Why is it that whenever a strong female character dresses sexily, if she's NOT written by a female, suddenly everyone feels the need to scream OH MY GOD SHE IS BEING OBJECTIFIED.

Err...what? The problem isn't that Strong Female Characters are sexy, but that they're almost always "sexy" in exactly the same ways. And almost all of those ways have nothing to do with their personality, or what they do, as characters, and almost everything to do with what they look like.

Also, you say "dresses sexily" like the female characters choose what they wear. When, you know, they don't actually have any agency (what with being fictional characters), and it's the (mostly) male artists that are deciding what the characters should look like in ways that appeal directly to their (mostly) male readership.

And people are quick to cry "OBJECTIFICATION!" *dramatic finger point*, because, like...99% of the time they are objectifying lady characters.
