I've always felt that as children, it's our lack of desire for sex appeal that makes our crushes solely based on the kinds of personalities we find attractive.

Hahah it still rings true for me for some reason, I crush on characters but lack a desire for sex, so I always empathize with those who have oddball crushes. ;) It's not something they should have to feel ashamed about. Glad someone can relate!
