Agreed.

I just loved being able to finally FLY in DOTD. I wish there was a game where you could play as a dragon and just fly across beautiful landscapes, swooping down on your chosen prey before ascending to the safety of the clouds once more...I still think NintenDragons would have sold better than NintenDogs. XD The last Spyro game let me feel a bit closer to that dream.

I can't play Spyro games much (and haven't played the new stuff) because they make me horribly motion-sick.

But I always thought Spyro just seemed like the wrong game franchise to get that "epic" treatment.

Yes. So much yes.

I miss all the little silly stories they made up for their creative worlds and the mini-games, too. The original games, everything about them (even the frustrating mini-games that made me want to pull my hair out sometimes), just put a smile on my face.

I LOVED the first two games.

Yes! I could barely watch walkthroughs on Youtube of the new ones and it looks like they're making an even newer one that makes Spryo look even derpier than before.

I used to loooove playing the old games when I was little, even though I wasn't very good at them. The new ones.... eh... I kinda stopped following the series after the GBA games and the whole idea that "SPYRO CAN DO ALL KINDS OF SHIT NOW HOLY CRAP."

Those little red dog things that turned into big monsters from the first game used to give me nightmares. It's been so long since I've played them, I don't even know if that's the right thing I'm thinking of. You know, the ones in the castle that changed form depending on if they were in the sunlight or shadows?

omg spyro!!

People are going to hate me for this, but I didn't like the old Spyros at all when I first played them, and I don't like them now. They just kept on crapping them out with the same boring type of stories and rehashed gameplay. I didn't want to play the new Spyro at first because I didn't enjoy the first ones, but WOW. I actually had fun. It wasn't a perfect game, but it was obvious a lot of effort was put into it. I know nostalgia plays a big part, but you can't play a piece of crap like Enter the Dragonfly and honestly tell me it's superior to Dawn of the Dragon.

Just came here for the Spyro love! Now I wish I had a Playstation so I could play the first game...

I still play the first three games from time to time. I think they aged very well, polygon characters and glitches and all. Spyro just moves so smoothly, not all characters feel so responsive.

I loved the old games. I remember I always wanted to play that skateboarding minigame when I was younger. And the one where you had to fly through all the rings before time ran out. And...

And I'm going to have to dig out my old games, now.

Also agreed. After Year of the Dragon, Spyro games do not exist.
