It really just makes me sad. Not on a baseball level. Just... sad.
Good to see another Giants fan on here, I guess. Wasn't aware there was a big fandom (outside of McC, which I guess does produce slash and fanart, so). But yeah. It's just depressing as hell. There's no reason to feel guilty, but I can understand why you would.

I'm a Yankees fan, not a San Fran fan, but I watched him in college many times (Go Noles!) and what happened to him breaks my heart--as a fan of baseball and of him.
Sucks because I'm headed to San Fran next month and I was so damn excited to catch a Giants game and watch him play again.

Not an RPF/S fan (though that may change because of another fandom >_>), but definitely don't feel ashamed! Only one who should is Cousins for slamming into him. No one ever thought it something as crazy as that would happen in real life. And just because you have a few fics where there's the angst, doesn't mean you really wished it upon him.
He will get better, and even if he won't play this season, he'll be cheering his team on when comes World Series time! =D

That game went from being so epic, amazing, and wonderful to horrible and tragic in one fell swoop. Cousins didn't play dirty, but I hope this shows the people who make the rules that it is time for a change. Catchers are at serious risk for injuries like Buster and it isn't good. Hopefully he heal up quickly and well, it's not the same without him.
And don't feel bad about your fic OP. It wasn't an voodoo doll instance, just a sad part of the game. *hugs*
