I don't understand how number three you listed is a mary-sueish. So what if a character is giving and generous and all? All three combined (all three listed) sort of makes sense though.

Someone can be self-sacrificing in a way that's Mary-Sueish. It's more obvious when a character is beautiful and graceful, or strong and powerful, in a way that reflects a fantasy of what it would be like to have all the advantages of that situation and no drawbacks. But it's quite possible to write a story where a character is a noble, self-sacrificing sufferer but the only part which is fully realized is how other characters look up to them as noble, not the part where their sacrifice actually inconveniences them in some way.

I can't say whether that's the case with this series, 'cause I haven't seen it, but yeah, self-sacrificing is totally a way to Mary Sue. Hell, the original Mary Sue parody that created the term ended with the main character's bathetic sacrifice.
