Uh, the entire het romance genre is literally millions of novels of female wish fulfillment. They don't personally appeal to me, but that doesn't change the fact that female with fulfillment in fiction is anything but rare.

You can't compare the visibility of a niche section of the book market to a multi-million dollar television production. The difference is the male perspective is consistently considered mainstream while the female perspective is not.
