Oh, same here! XD Except it has more to do with one's avatar in my case, especially on forums. If I see a person using an avatar of [Character X] all the time, then I mentally assign [Character X] to them XD;

I do it unintentionally--whatever their icon is is what they look like in my head. It can be very disappointing at times! ;)

But the real reason I'm commenting is because Alton Brown is the coolest person to ever grace Food Network's schedule and I love your icon.
