I don't really mind them, but I find the books don't sink in as much as when I'm reading them. I phase out too easily. Also, I don't really do a whole lot where listening would be more convenient than reading, so I might as well just read.

this, exactly. The phasing-out thing. And you can't just reread a line or a paragraph, trying to go back and catch what you missed is so awkwaaaard

BUT YAY FOR AUDIOBOOKS, FOR THOSE WHO LIKE EM! My best friend looooooooves them and listens to em all the time.

I'm the other way around, myself. Reading gives me too much time to make my mind wander, while as audiobooks forces me to keep up a bit more.
