Defensive~ I was just wondering if I could go have some fun verifying if everyone practices what they preach, is all. Do you write fic? Have a rec I can check out? If not, don't get bent out of shape.

I have, in face, written fic! But not for years, and never about Draco. I think he's overdone in fandom and kind of boring, personally. I just think it's obnoxious that you asked about fic and then immediately snarked the first person who was happy to respond intelligently and thoughtfully.

Alright, no implications then. I'll just hike up my bitchpants and say it outright: Draco-fandom is full of people completely up their asses about his fanon self. This is not even a contested issue, everyone knows it, and a Draco fan especially ought to know it. What I find obnoxious is the fanfic folks so full of their own self-important crap that they leap at every chance to rhapsodize about their 'works'. Fine, if you write Draco a certain way I'll certainly know when I read your stories, and so will all the other readers.

So I have to write the same thing ALL THE TIME? I like Draco and Snape so I guess I have to write Harry-Ron-Hermione bashing fics ALL THE TIME and in my stories I have to show how I feel about Draco ALL THE TIME.

...and what has that got to do with anything? Write Draco/Snape/Harry/Hermione/whoever however you see them, unless your hatred or love of one somehow manages to meddle with your feelings about another. Seriously, what even is this comment? Again, defensive, to the point of silliness apparently.
