I'm so tired of people bagging on Betty because she doesn't fit their image of what we think women should be. Yes, she's selfish. And yes, she's immature. But there are legitimate reasons why. The writers don't just expect us to accept a caricature; her character flaws are an outgrowth of her own personality defects and upbringing.
And I love the Betty/Glenn storyline (however many creepy undertones may exist)--it shows how starved for love she is.
