It really is rather Wagnerian, isn't it? You sort of expect Valkyries to ride down and start singing, just to accentuate how epic it really is.

8. NaNo last year for me was during a big school assignment for me, I didn't get a chance to do it :x. I wish you luck on getting a better group this year, though.

Lol, I loved that game so very much but I kinda agree with you; I've seen fic of them characterized so much better but I guess because it's just the Wammy days they haven't gotten err-- into that hate? I dunno, give her some artistic liberties, I guess, I personally enjoyed most of the game and almost cried at a few of those endings.

19. I saw that piece of wank as it was played out, ohoho. I think they just used a term that has evolved and come to mean gay relations of any kind and applied it to what it used to only mean. To make themselves feel smart and all that, maybe; "I USED A TERM IN IT'S CORRECT MEANING! LOL!" They should have just used a general "no pron plz" sort of rule. It's never good to make a community seem biased, or against anything.

That's how NaNo is most of the time. My local chapter had intentions to get together, even for a celebration and things happen. Life happens. :P

It's not that I'm really ashamed... It's more that nobody knows what enka is, and when they hear it they think the vocals are annoying. I just... I think that way of singing is beautiful, and I can't get enough.

It's good to not be alone. The guy in the picture has a magnificent voice for enka, and I just love hearing him sing. ^^ Admittedly, most of the stuff he sings is with the pop group he's in, so it's more like... ethnic fusion kind of stuff? But there are a couple of clips of him on YouTube singing more traditional enka songs, and he's just fantastic. :D

The problem is that they focus on homosexual porn as if there was no such thing as heterosexual porn. Why didn't they just say, we don't support porn in this community so all pairings should refrain from explicit sexual detail?
But they didn't. They focused specifically on homosexual pairings.

My problem, too, is that I can't FIND enka anywhere. I listened to a few really old songs a few years ago (when I discovered enka) and decided that I loved it, as I do most traditional Japanese music.

Imagine my shock, awe, and great wonder when someone showed me this band with the lead singer being a freaking enka GENIUS. It's like... suddenly accessible. If you wouldn't mind sharing where you get some stuff, I'd be really obliged. I can't use iTunes, but do you know of any websites, perhaps?

At any rate, I don't really mind revealing who I am, either, so. XD If you'd be interested in a brief AIM conversation and an exchange of information, that could be cool? :D Not to be pushy or anything, I'm just excited. XD If you've never heard of the guy in the picture and aren't totally allergic to J-pop, I could give you a couple of songs he sings the lead in. :D

My guess would be exactly what I said in my first comment: it was poorly worded. The point was they don't want PORN. From the sound of it, the discussion isn't happening because there's a bunch of people demanding het porn-- it's because someone wants yaoi/yuri. If I'm wrong, and in fact the comment -is- directed towards someone trying to RP het porn, please feel free to correct me.

Obviously I don't know the details of the discussion, nor am I so engrossed in the subject as to personally investigate. I'm just saying based on what I see, there's no reason for anyone to be up in arms or WTFing. There's an explicit disclaimer with this comment saying homosexuality is completely fine. It's the PORN that they are having a problem with. They classified yaoi and yuri as a part of the larger genre of PORN. Which is correct.

Therefore, I'm inclined to believe the statement was not meant to be prejudiced against any orientation.
