Regarding Ms. Scribe, have you read Charlotte Lennox's posts over at bad_penny?

I spent two nights reading her writeups on the Ms. Scribe Saga. It's compulsive, I tell you - just seeing that secret makes me want to go back and read it all over again. If you haven't seen her posts I'd say they were a must, but you will need to clear a good few hours in your schedule if you want to read the full story.

I just read the overview of each chapter. XD I'm not in the HP fandom so all of this is new to me...but...wow.

The wank seems pretty epic, if it can inspire a...dissertation like that.

I'm not in the HP fandom either, though I do have a weakness for Potterwank - it's just so awesomely delicious, and made even more so by the fact that I don't quite understand what all the fuss is about. I lurk over at F_W pretty frequently (no, I don't have a journalfen, woe) and I'm prone to turning to the wiki when there are no fresh lols to be had. Which, I guess, is where I found out about all this. The overview itself is awe-inspiring enough, but the full version is just... well, wow. And kind of sad too, in a way, partly because - well, damn, the time it must have taken. And I thought I needed a hobby.

Yes, the Ms. Scribe saga is epic. It's not just one wank but a whole load. It's like the Ring Cycle of wank (until the next one comes along). The tale of one woman and her sockpuppet army as she battles her way to BNF-dom and a seat at the right hand of Cassie Claire... I'd say the dissertation was entirely warranted, really. And, like the bad_penny reports on the Cassie Claire plagiarism wank, it is definitely worth reading if you have a spare evening or three.

Part of me almost hopes our secret poster succeeds in her(?) ambition to be the next Ms. Scribe, because then I'll get to read the write-up.

Geez. I thought I was obsessed with wank (I comod [livejournal.com profile] lolita_wank), but this is...definitely something else.

It really is rather Wagnerian, isn't it? You sort of expect Valkyries to ride down and start singing, just to accentuate how epic it really is.

XD Makes me want to lurk in the HP fandom so that I can see if the poster really lives up to his/her ambitions.
