Except I thought the original was more interesting because at least the ace's sister in the original was actually a soldier who actually understood the hardships behind combat.
um. That's not original, it's just a different way of doing things. Zechs/Heero/Relena is automatically different because of that key element.

And that's what storytelling is. Every single type of story has been told. All you can do is put a new spin on a story.
