Totally with 4. The best alternate universe Gundams are the ones that do something besides strip-mine UC for ideas, like G, Turn-A, and...well, G and Turn-A, really. G made Gundam into an unabashed super robot show and it worked out great, Turn-A turned it into more of a character-driven...steampunk isn't the right word, but I'll go with it, drama and it worked out great, the rest just ripped off UC and weren't nearly as good.

Or maybe I'm just getting sick of A CHARs. And again, the best ones aren't really Char knock-offs at all.

(I'll admit to kind of liking SEED Astray, but it won my heart with the Powered Red Frame in Super Robot Wars W. 150 meter long katana? HAHAHAHAHA YES. ....Not that I ever really used him anyway, but the GGG units take up a lot of space. Sorry Lowe, you're cool, but you're not a Yuusha or Voltron so you can sit in the hanger.)
