Lawrence, Kansas is my second home. On the occasions they've been there, I look at it and say 'uh huh, sure, yeah, have you guys ever even set FOOT in Kansas, let alone Lawrence?' more than a few times. It's TV logistics.

It's even more interesting when they do use the place as a location, because then weird geography happens. I remember a Hawaii Five-0 episode where someone was driving from Hawaii Kai to Hickam and their route somehow included attempting to drive the wrong direction down Kalakaua Blvd in Waikiki (they got bumped off the road onto the beach in the intersection.)

My husband and I looked at each other and said "Who the fuck programed their Garmin."

I mean, I can understand how you feel, because I actually live in St. Louis, MO and their set looked nothing like it in "Skin."

But yeah, they don't shoot on location so it's not that big of a deal. I agree with the first commenter: I disliked that episode for entirely different reasons (some of which had a lot to do with the poor music choice during the "flashbacks," it was honestly offensive to my ears).

I know what you mean. As much as I love Mystery Spot, I spend the entire thing ranting because of the dozens of inaccuracies about Broward County. Protip: if you're planning on saying that your location is South Florida, you probably shouldn't be filming while it's snowing.

I didn't see that episode, but I whole-heartedly sympathize because I'm still illogically pissed off about the faux-"St. Louis, Missouri" in the S1 episode, "Skin." Some stock footage of the Gateway Arch or Busch Stadium would have been nice.

Supernatural is why I'm determined to take a road trip through the US some day (I'm European and have never been to the US). I think it's hilarious since I know that it's shot in Canada, but, yeah. Logic, there's none. :p

Try rewatching the episode Hell House. Richardson, Texas looks NOTHING like that, and Jensen's even from there.
