I must be weird, because neither of them does it for me sexually...

Personally I think McAvoy is gorgeous, but Patrick Stewart just has something about him that makes him superior to all other men, 70 years old or otherwise.

Also totally seconding for more old!xavier/magneto.

When I read these "I prefer them older" XF secrets I always feel like the secret isn't actually that the person is scared to admit they like them older, but that they wish they could be more openly superior about preferring them older. It's like having a secret that you prefer the LOTR books to the movies.

Mmmmm...Patrick Stewart! I've had a weird fangirl crush on him since his Star Trek days!

As for LOTR - I totally prefer the books to the movies, but the movies did a damn fine job of getting the point across.

Actually I find the LotR books horribly boring and couldn't get past like 150 pages. The movies I enjoyed for what they were but I wasn't in love with them/into the fandom. Being a nerd does not mean I like all nerd things. :P

A lot of people prefer them old! I do more because of the history behind it, rather than some guy he met like a month or two ago. Longer term frustrations, and yet still kind of friends? Much more epic.

Patrick Stewart (and Ian McKellan) have a dignity and strength that cannot be matched by younger actors. It is the force of their acting that makes them so, so compelling.
