You're either very aware of how dysfunctional those two are (and I ship nothing on this show, so it's not that I'm against the ship in favor of another) and accept that dysfunction within your own relationship...or, you've been exposed to so few functional relationships on screen that you see these two as something ideal.

There are just so many great canon pairings out there worthy of comparing a good relationship to that I can't see why anyone would want to strive to be like two clearly incompatible, drama filled teenagers.

*oh and not drama filled in a "makes for good TV" sort of way. Drama filled in a "Why are these two so awful to each other when they're together?" sort of way.

...oh, I really do hope he's not actually like Finn. Or that you're a lot like Rachel. Because those two are both awful people and they're horrible for each other. They do nothing but emotionally abuse each other when they're actually together.
